On again/off again weather...but since today looks promising, I'll take that as a hint to go for a ride. I had a pre-selected destination, but as I passed the Tamihi rec site, I decided to take a recon in that direction for a change. (Please forgive the terrible phone pics)
Four miles up the road and we encounter, the aptly-named 4-mile bridge....
A mile later and here we are at the 5 mile bridge...upstream side.
The 6-mile bridge has a beautiful tall waterfall that I am going to hike to one day....
½ mile later. I am at the junction...can't go right, so I will go left.
L to R...Canadian border Peak, American border peak and Mt. Larabee...I am ridiculously close to the US border at this point.
There is no snow along the route, but there are a few LARGE puddles and mud pits.

Up close and personal with the Tomyhoi glacier...with lots of snow. This American glacier feeds Tamihi creek for the benefit of its Canadian neighbours.
Looking back to the North, where I came from. The border swath is clearly visible in the background hills.
On the way back....Tamihi creek flow beside me for the time being.
This piece of road is crap...in the 12+ years that I've been riding around here, I have NEVER seen it completely dry.
Today is no different...lots of washouts, potholes and some huge puddles and mud holes. Looks like it got ravaged by the November rains, too.
