Harrison East again....

This time, we travelled as a pair and went a bit further than when I came here solo, two weeks ago...with this being a long weekend, there were people camped everywhere; there wasn't a pullout or green patch that didn't have at least one tent or trailer on it.
This trip was also an experiment into the gas mileage of the goat....two-up. Our last trip clocked in at 105 miles without needing to switch to Reserve...I was hoping to push it to 120 this time.

Of course, the first point-of-interest along Harrison East FSR, is Rainbow Falls.

This shot, looking North shows how much snowpack is still left in the mountains.

Something new has been added...the first "old logging camp" has been transformed into a campground!
Cogburn Creek campground....75 sites...makes this a basecamp for those exploring the area.

We pressed on past the many makeshift campsites and deviated from the main FSR until we found this roaring creek.

This bridge was blockaded, so we knew there wouldn't (shouldn't) be anyone past this point. We stopped for lunch and admired the scenery for a bit.

From there, we continued on to the Silver Creek bridge. Not much "freshet" flowing here...

Downstream side of Silver Creek bridge...this was to serve as the "midway" point in our journey, even though it is less than 60 miles from our start. The intent was to explore a bit of the Slollicum FSR on the way home, but we ran into some rain on the way back...

Wild dogwood blooms.

On the return, we stopped in at Cogburn Creek campsite to investigate. Apparently, this site was opened last year. There are 75 sites and a number of tenting sites. No services at this time, but they hope to improve.

Obligatory shot of the Cascade Peninsula...from the viewpoint.

Turned over 11000 miles, just before leaving the FSR....

Waiting for the train in Agassiz...

The extent of our travels, on this trip.

Since we didn't explore Slollicum...the total trip was 107 miles from home to Silver Creek and back....never had to switch over to Reserve.
Once home, I topped up the tank with LESS THAN a single US gallon....this means that I am getting insane mileage when two-up...

Going to keep experimenting.
