It's been about 3 years since I was last here...things have changed a bit.
I've taken a photo of every bike I've owned, at this bridge. Some angles are better than others. Today I only had my phone-camera, so I wasn't able to get a low and wide-angle panoramic shot that included the mountains in the background.
Had to settle for this one instead.
This trip was also a "test-drive" for my new setup; a Kouba lowering link and a Dunlop 605 rear tire. The link has lowered this bike enough so that I can almost flat-foot at stops. With a pillion in place, I'm sure it will be even better.
The 605 was an absolute beast to install...I'm hoping it lasts longer than the stock tire. Throws a nice little tail under the slightest acceleration.
When I was last here, the road continued past the Center Creek bridge for a little while before encountering this huge washout...
Didn't think they'd ever repair it, but lo and behold...I guess they'll be back to harvest more lumber soon?
A bit further south of the bridge, I followed a spur that leads to nice views, but nothing else...
My route...
